Concealers & powders

Hi I'm Hana. My first post on this blog will be about concealers and powders. For most girls, concealers are the first type of make up a they will ever get. But a good powder can go a long way. So I am here to recommend some affordable concealers that you should get and ones you should avoid! The first one is:

Miss Sporty's 'SO Clear' concealer stick. This concealer was(how do I put this?) BAD. There are only two choices in colours, so of course I went for the light one. I'm quite pale so I was hoping it would match my skin type. BUT NOOOO. When I used it for the first time it turned out to be a strange orangey, bad fake tan shade. I was in a rush, so I didn't have time to take it off, so I had to cover up the concealer with powder (which will be mentioned later). I would not recommend this to anyone, unless you have the exact skin type that this concealer is.

Okay, so this next concealer is MUA's 'Hide and conceal' concealer stick. This concealer is AMAZING. I was able to get one that matches my skin tone perfectly. There are 3 different shades (fair, natural and almond), but if you can't get an exact colour match they are perfect for blending. I use my one on spots , rather than under my eyes, as I prefer to use liquid concealers for that. These are the new ones, and I have to say the old ones (http://www.muastore.co.uk/index.php/hide-and-conceal-cover-up-stick) were actually terrible. They were cakey and left by skin very oily.  The new formula in the new ones is fantastic! Places to buy them: Boots, Superdrug (MUA have a counter in most Superdrugs) or online! http://www.muastore.co.uk/index.php/new-hide-and-conceal-cover-up-stick They are very affordable at only £1 each! And they last well, too!

Miss Sporty Liquid concealer. Alright, Miss Sporty have definitely done well in this product! It has 3 colours(light, medium and dark) that are great for blending. I personally use this product for under my eyes, and around my nose rather than on spots. It also has a sponge to apply the product to your face with precision. It's amazing! A must buy! It's about £2.00-£3.00, depending on where you get it. It's currently £2.00 in boots and £3.00 in Superdrug and on the Miss Sporty website.

My next product is L.A. Colours/Colors 'Mineral Pressed Powder'. It comes in Fifteen different shades, so you would struggle to not be able to get your skin tone. I much prefer pressed powder to normal powders, as normal powders give your skin a dry, tired look. Also normal powders can be quite messy! This product from L.A. colours also has a mirror and a sponge with it. It's light and thin so it's great to slip into your bag. I personally LOVE this product! It's about £2.00-£4.00. I got mine in an amazing shop in Westfield, Stratford, called Beauty Base. (Just a tip, if you go in there make sure to look at the large selection of nail varnishes by L.A. Colours that are only 99p!!) I definitely recommend getting this product! This is the powder I used to cover up the Miss Sporty SO Clear cover stick!

That is all for my affordable products but I do have one more that is a bit more expensive (in terms of how cheap the others were!) that's by Clinique!

It's about £12.50-£20.00. It comes in 5 different colours. I know in the last one I said I prefer pressed powders(and that's true) but the 'blended face powder'  is light and as long as you don't put too much on it's fine and gives your face a flawless look. Love it.

Thank you for reading my post! I really enjoyed this and it was my first ever post on this blog! YAAAAAY! Please keep coming back for more tips and email me at madamecupcake0801@gmail.com to ask me for any tips or ideas for a new post!

Until next time!
